I watched people sprinting into the airport because they did not plan to sit in traffic for almost 2 hours and they missed their flights. they told us about this and I was so thankful because I would have never booked it so early to come back. There is construction right around the airport so the 40 minute drive FROM the airport turns into a 90-100 minutes drive when returning TO the airport. The trip was so smooth that I booked them on the way back to the airport later that week. the driver took our luggage for us and got us settled into our private air conditioned bus. ![]() They were very professional and took us right away over to our van. I had never been to Mexico before so the team sent me pics of where i would be coming out to after customs and what to look for which made it so easy to find them. I want something easy, simple and that will make me feel safe and calm. This is the part of trip planning that gives the most anxiety- Transportations. It was spring break and very busy but it was nice to not have to worry about the transfer. I see a lot of negative reviews so it is hard to fully recommend this company, but I can say our experience with a prebooked private transfer to Playa del Carmen was a great, hassle free experience. I paid $125 round trip so I found that to be reasonable for a round trip transfer to Playa del Carmen from CUN. There was also great communication via WhatsApp once I had WiFi at my resort. When it was time for pickup, the shuttle was right on time and again it was a smooth ride back with another friendly driver. ![]() After that it was a smooth ride with a friendly driver. The representative was in constant communication with the driver and eventually she walked us to a less crowded area to meet him (while taking pictures with her phone and sending them to the driver so he knew exactly where we were). It was a bit of a wait for our driver because of all the construction (not their fault). After we went through customs we walked outside and to the right to find the area they sent us in the picture. I eventually paid twice the rate (once with them and once more with the on-site taxi company that eventually did provide the service at an overly inflated price given the “after hours” time of my arrival).Īttached are pictures of their email response as well of the receipt for what I had to pay a different company ON TOP of what I had already paid eTransfers for the same service. Their staff are experts at stonewalling and deflecting blame for poor service. The following day, GEROM S (who handled my follow up email) basically confirmed what the phone representative mentioned and did absolutely nothing to correct the situation, citing again their T&Cs and straight up lying about having someone there waiting to provide the service when there clearly wasn’t.ĭO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY’S SERVICES unless you want the possibility of being left out in the cold. The representative actually felt bad and did apologize and expressed how sorry he was over the terrible situation I’d been put in but still, reluctantly, did let me know that the company would probably do everything in their power to avoid making it right and would fight any attempt made on my part to get a refund. When I called the support line, I waited on hold for over 40 minutes before speaking to a human being who did nothing other than cite their terms and conditions and said there was nothing to be done. Not only was their service not fulfilled, but their support staff seems to be EXPERTLY trained in making excuses for their bad (or complete lack of) service, instead placing the blame on their customers as opposed being helpful or remorseful. I strongly advice not to book with this company if you want to get to your destination. My flight was scheduled to arrive at 10:30pm and the airport staff (including the OFFICIAL ground transportation supervisor on call) confirmed they had not seen a representative from eTransfers on site since way before 10:00pm. Not only did they leave me stranded at the airport with no way of getting to my hotel (the airport staff confirmed their representatives had left the premises way before my scheduled arrival), but to make matter worse, they refused to refund the cost of the transportation, which I obviously had to pay in advance, when the service was not provided. You will end up paying a lot more to get where you need to and the company will do nothing to make up for it. Do not be fooled by this website’s lower price for ground transportation. ![]()
